This is the most awesome donut shop ever! They've got every flavor donut imaginable PLUS homemade breakfast. They also have a drive-thru if one's bottom can't be encouraged to walk the ten paces from the parking lot! And for those who are truly in deep need of a donut fix, it appears they deliver (might only be to large gathering, though, because I see four stalker-like vans with the logo in the parking lot.) In all seriousness.....awesome food, fun staff. I'd come back anytime I was in Fargo.

Been here a few times now, and would never have found this place had it not been for you amazing Yelpers!! Few months back, I had an important client breakfast meeting and wanted to bring some good, local pastries. Found this on yelp, and away I went. Everyone ooohed and ahhed over the donuts back then. I picked up a Pistachio muffin then for myself. And omg - they are seriously, like the best things ever! And now pretty much, whenever I go there I always have to get one. They are truly my favorite item at this bakery. Prices are totally cheap!! Wide selection of donuts, pastries.. and they also even have a drive-thru as well. (They're not open all day long, so make sure you go there right away in the morning.)

Sandy's has a ton of donut varieties to choose from. They also have muffins and rolls. They are great tasting. And, if that wasn't enough for a normal donut shop, you can also get sandwiches and soups here. Eat in, to go, or delivery (including box lunches). I have not tried the coffee, so I cannot say anything about that. From what I noticed, I believe coffee is probably just regular coffee. I don't recall seeing any type of espresso or specialty coffees, but I can't guarantee that. The decor is fairly standard for a donut shop. They do have quite a bit of seating, as this building once housed a Hardees. On Saturdays, this place is always hopping, so expect to stand in line. However, don't let the line scare you as it moves through very fast due to ample staffing. Even backed up to the front door, it usually only takes us about 5 minutes of waiting. If you are not familiar with where Sandy's is located, you will find it at the corner of Main Avenue and Sheyenne Street in West Fargo.

Fargoans (Fargonaughts? Fargoneons?) looooove this place, and although I'm not a huge donut person, I can see why this is a local favorite. As others have mentioned, it's very crowded during weekend mornings, but the line moves pretty fast and there's a good amount of seating/tables. My favorites are the double chocolate peanut butter donut and the red velvet donut. Glad they opened up a second place downtown, and am looking forward to checking it out!

Yum. Like Dunkin' Donuts but homemade! If donuts are ur guilty pleasure be sure to grab one or a dozen. Good ole fashioned coffee to wash 'em down too. Not much ambiance; typical donut shop shoppe but who cares when you're licking frosting off ur fingers and reading a newspaper.

The best doughnuts in the metro area. (I know because I've tried them all.)

Funny the first time i went here. Was to buy doughnuts for the office, being downtown went here this was the logical choice. Not disappointed, so i have had a variety of doughnuts so far. Carmel withe pecans was awesome. There cream filled doughnuts are delicious and regular doughnuts are fine. The maple bacon...if you like bacon...your going to have it. the only doughnut that i thought was not as good as it could be, the maple bacon, its ok just having tried a couple of them from various places and this wasn't as good as them. Will definitely go back though good hours and coffee there is about as good anywhere except one otger downtown establishment which i will not name here but they french press their coffee there and i am partial to that. Cheers all

I thought I knew what good doughnuts were until I had a Sandy's doughnut! They consistently have great doughnuts every time I eat one. There's yet to be a flavor I didn't like or want to try. Even though it's just frying bread and throwing on icing, some how they do it in a way that tastes better than the others. Whether it's better ingredients I don't know but they do it right. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean.

I was in Fargo for the Jack White show a few weeks ago and ended up at Sandy's Donuts on Saturday morning. The donuts were so delicious and such a steal compared to other less delicious donut shops. I wish we had a Sandy's in the Twin Cities!

When I came in one afternoon a few weeks ago, they were completely out of donuts, but when they learned it was my first time there and I had come from Moorhead, they found a slightly misshapen (but still delicious!) donut in the back for me - no charge. Looking forward to their downtown opening.

Was recommended this by my dentist of all people. These were SO DELICIOUS!!! I got an old fashioned sour cream glazed and a plain twisty. My kids got an Oreo donut and a white glazed sprinkled donut. We are VEEY happy with our choice. So good. I'm also very happy I don't live any where near Fargo or I would be here every day. Yummy!!!!

I haven't had donuts for a year since moving here, since there are no Dunkin Donuts in town and grocery store doughnuts all taste like... well... grocery store doughnuts. Full of "meh". Sandy's is wonderful and going to make me fat. :) Their crullers are great, the apple fritters are huge, and their maple-bacon long john is done with fresh bacon chopped into bits so it's easier to eat than the same thing from Voodoo Donuts in Portland, OR. I get one every time I visit. The selection is vast, the coffee's not great but not bad, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Just a wonderful, wonderful place. The best privately owned doughnut place I've been to since Voodoo. You'll stand in a long line Sunday mornings and it gets PACKED. It's busy for good reason. Check them out.

Yes, very likely the best donuts in North Dakota. Staff is friendly and on point. The selection does thin out by late morning, so if you have a certain something in mind come early. My personal fave Apple Fritter. Be sure to ask them about the Tom Hanks story.

This is absolutely the best donut you will find anywhere on the planet....this place ran Krispy Kreme out of town! Go early as they often sell out of the best stuff by 10:00am. I always get a heated cinnamon roll and cherry fritter, but you can't go wrong any way you choose. They also make excellent breakfast and lunch items...their homemade soups are outstanding!

Like the other reviewer this place is still my favorite donut shop and was also a childhood favorite. I go here every time I'm in town. I still remember that building was a Hardees before Sandy's moved into their new spot there. Like the other reviewer I live in California now as well and I have found no match to Sandy's.

They got a variety a lot of them but all taste like cheap gas station ones. Moving from California here. I miss Krispy Cream.

Sandy's has the BEST donuts in all of Fargo/Moorhead. Their fresh donuts are melt in your mouth good. My favorite is the glazed sour cream cake donut. They are awesome. Also can get full breakfast and lunch there. Great place to enjoy a morning coffee and donut.

My childhood favorite. When Sandy's was locate on 4th avenue i would stop in on my way to or from school and sit down to a yummy donut and carton of milk. Sandy's donuts by far beat out any other donut shop in town. And since i have moved to California i have not found a match yet. My favorites are the cream filled chocolate covered long johns, with or without nuts. sour cream glazed donuts, and the old fashion donuts (just like grandmas!). Stop in and get a dozen to share, or stop into any Stop-N-Go gas station and grab up a fresh or day-old one. Sandy's used to supply the local gas stations with donuts, i wouldn't doubt if they still do.
